The 3D CAD system bocad-3D is worldwide applied in the steel, facade, glazing, metal, timber and concrete construction.
For the work preparation, bocad offers the program bocad-PS.
bocad supports its customers in the above-mentioned areas in all ranges of planning and construction including production and installation. Right from the beginning, it was intended to develop autonomous CAD/CAM- and PPS-systems in order to offer a solution for practical problems.
bocad cooperates with its customers in a team-oriented partnership enabling thus that the customers also have a direct influence on the product development of bocad. One basic prerequisite for that is the consistent alignment at the market requirements and the subject-specific know-how of CAD/CAM.

bocad-3D

bocad-3D is an independent CAD system without any limits concerning the number of components and connection means. The system that has been continuously developed since 1980 covers today the whole spectrum of individual and standard construction in the range of steel, glazing, roof&wall, timber and -newly- concrete.

The system supports simultaneously working in an unlimited number of windows with an unlimited number of perspectives or cuts of the 3D model. bocad-3D summarizes all information of these different processes in a 3D model enabling thus a detailed presentation and explanation of the whole construction.

Since bocad-3D does not distinguish between modelling and revising of drawings, all graphics and measures are anytime available.

The successful appliance of the CAD depends decisively on the adaptation to the individual customer's requirements. In bocad-3D you can carry out and store special functions (e.g. for bills of material and drawings) for different appliances. The potential of rationalisation caused by the strongly reduced revising of drawings and the automatically extracts of material and NC data is considerable

bocad-PS

The increasing interaction in all dimensions of cooperation calls for a tailored and variable structure of the application systems. Working results can be evaluated and interpreted across different phases, changes in the project become easier to implement and their consequences are seen more promptly and more completely. As all employees are affected by a project, bocad-PS is oriented towards all project participants, whether planners, designers, structural engineers or production planners. They supervise the projects either in the bocad-PS 3D-model or in individually definable worksheets.

bocad-PS integrates the course of the project from pre-planning to assembly. All applications like task management, piece lists or nesting are placed in a standardized database by bocad-PS.
